  Computer simulation software developed SSIM researchers tested at NASA Johnston Space Center

Nov 16, 2006 - Dr. Abhilash Pandya, Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, successfully demonstrated his computer enhanced vision software to NASA engineers and astronaut Nancy Currie at the NASA Johnston Space Center this month. Supported by a 3-year, 1.6 million NASA grant, Pandya and his Robotic-Assisted Surgery team at the Smart Sensor and Integrated Microsystem lab developed the software for the command center on the International Space Station.
