Micro fuel cells, smart transformers and high-power, high-energy electronics

Smart transformers that alert power companies when they need repair or replacement, micro fuel cells that generate great power to miniature devices, and electronics that can withstand the high temperatures and other extreme environments demanded by arising technologies - all of these projects are under way in the Smart Sensors and Integrated Microsystems Program.
